Job summary

Serosoft Solutions Pvt Ltd in Indore is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for its Product team. This role targets academicians with strong teaching experience who can translate education processes into user-centric product requirements.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, craft BRDs/FRDs, support Agile ceremonies, and guide SIT/UAT. A background in Education or related fields and familiarity with ERP/LMS/SIS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Management, Technology, Commerce, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional teaching/academic experience.
• Experience with academic processes, ERP/LMS/SIS preferred.
• Willingness to transition into product/tech roles.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Create BRDs and FRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze processes and propose improvements for efficiency.
• Create process flows and UI wireframes.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, QA, and Implementation teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Serve as liaison between business users and technical teams.
• Maintain requirement traceability using Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
• Provide user training and post-implementation support.
• Ensure timely delivery of milestones.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our Product team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality enterprise software solutions.

Please Note: This is not a conventional Business Analyst role. We are specifically looking for academicians with strong academic/teaching experience who can bring their understanding of education processes and user needs into our product team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, customers, and internal teams to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct requirement analysis, feasibility studies, gap analysis, and impact assessments to support business objectives.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Create process flow diagrams, workflow documentation, UI wireframes, and mockups using Microsoft Visio or similar tools.
  • Work closely with Product, Development, QA, and Implementation teams to ensure accurate understanding and execution of requirements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coordinate and support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and defect resolution.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct requirement walkthroughs, solution demonstrations, and stakeholder review sessions.
  • Maintain project documentation, knowledge repositories, and requirement traceability using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
  • Provide functional support, user training, and post-implementation assistance to ensure successful product adoption.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project milestones while maintaining quality standards and business objectives.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any relevant discipline; preference for candidates with Education, Management, Technology, Commerce, or related backgrounds.
• Minimum 3 years of professional teaching/academic experience, preferably in a college or university.
• Experience working with academic processes, institutional workflows, or accreditation will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to ERP, LMS, SIS, digital products, or other technology platforms is preferred.
• Candidates with strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills who are interested in transitioning into a product/technology role are encouraged to apply.

• Understanding of academic/education processes across schools, colleges, or universities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good technology/software exposure, including ERP, LMS, SIS, or other academic systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify process gaps.
• Ability to understand user needs, document processes, and suggest product/process improvements.
