Job summary

People Impact is seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst to lead data-centric initiatives on enterprise data and cloud projects. You will bridge business stakeholders with data engineering teams and define data requirements for analytics and governance.

The role emphasizes translating complex business needs into actionable data specifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting Agile delivery, UAT, and traceability to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of experience in Business Analysis / Business Systems Analysis.
• Strong understanding of Azure data platforms, ADLS, Databricks, and SQL.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data pipelines, and data lake/lakehouse concepts.
• Experience in data quality, governance, metadata, and data validation.
• Strong requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and UAT.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional and data specifications.
• Work with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Databricks, and SQL.
• Define data models, data flows, ingestion, and transformation requirements.
• Establish data quality rules, validation checks, metadata, and governance requirements.
• Define KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and business reporting requirements.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and technical teams.
• Support Agile delivery, UAT, and end-to-end requirements traceability.
