Job summary

Weekday AI (YC W21) is seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst to drive data-driven initiatives on enterprise Azure data platforms. You will bridge business stakeholders and data engineering teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

The role requires deep expertise in ADLS, Databricks, SQL, data modeling, data pipelines, and governance. You will own requirements, define KPIs and dashboards, and support Agile delivery with strong documentation.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of experience in Business Analysis / Business Systems Analysis.
• Strong understanding of Azure data platforms (ADLS, Databricks) and SQL.
• Experience with data modeling, data pipelines, and data lake/lakehouse concepts.
• Experience with data quality, governance, metadata, and data validation.
• Strong requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and UAT.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional and data specifications.
• Work with ADLS, Databricks, and SQL to implement data solutions.
• Define data models, data flows, ingestion and transformation needs.
• Establish data quality rules, validation checks, metadata, and governance.
• Define KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and reporting requirements.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and tech teams.
• Support Agile delivery, UAT, and end-to-end requirements traceability.
