Job summary

EinNel Technologies in Chennai seeks a Bus Interiors Engineer with 3–7 years of experience to design and develop bus interior components, creating 3D models, assemblies and detailed drawings while ensuring interfaces with body structure, electrical and HVAC systems.

You will drive interior packaging, ergonomics and passenger comfort, ensuring safety, serviceability and manufacturability, and support prototype builds, testing and design changes with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of bus/automotive interior design and development.
• Experience with plastics, composites, sheet metal, trim and interior components.
• Understanding of ergonomics, passenger packaging and mounting concepts.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of serviceability and component installation/removal.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop bus interior components including flooring, side trims, ceiling panels, partitions, seats, luggage areas and driver cabin components.
• Develop 3D models, assemblies and detailed engineering drawings.
• Perform interior packaging, ergonomics, accessibility and clearance studies.
• Ensure proper interfaces with body structure, electrical, HVAC and other vehicle systems.
• Consider passenger comfort, safety, serviceability and manufacturability.
• Support prototype builds, testing, validation and design modifications.
• Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.
