Job summary

Tata AutoComp Systems Limited is seeking an experienced Interior Core & Quality engineer to drive cockpit and seat system quality across the product lifecycle.

The role requires 3–6 years in automotive interior design, DFMEA/DVP&R expertise, and proficiency with UG NX, CATIA, Teamcenter, and Enovia. You will coordinate with OEMs and suppliers to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Production or Industrial Engineering is required.
• 3–6 years of experience in automotive interior design and quality domains.
• Experience with DFMEA and DVP&R is essential; knowledge of design standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design quality and robustness activities for Cockpit & Seat components.
• Conduct design reviews with global teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Perform packaging, manufacturing, and assembly feasibility studies.
• Review and approve DFMEA, DVP&R, Technical Data Sheets, and CAD releases.
• Manage quality documentation, design scorecards, lessons learned, and design standards.
• Analyze launch and field issues using Root Cause Analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone, 3L).
• Coordinate with suppliers, OEM teams, and engineering functions to resolve quality concerns.
