Job summary

Jana Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking an experienced Branch Manager in microfinance to lead disbursement initiatives and manage a field team across assigned territories in India. The role focuses on achieving targets while maintaining portfolio quality.

Ideal candidates have 8-10 years of branch handling and sales experience, with a strong grasp of banking operations and regulations; familiarity with JLG in microfinance is preferred.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in branch handling, loan sales, team handling, team management, or collection management.
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing teams effectively.
• Strong understanding of banking operations and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Achieve disbursement targets with minimum delinquency.
• Identify Joint Liability Groups and disbursed loans for target customers/geographies.
• Develop and manage a team across territories for market penetration.
• Assess potential client base and product acceptability for expansion.
• Disbursement, repayment and delinquency management with daily/weekly collections targets.
• Close follow-up of disbursed loans, especially overdue ones.
• Conduct regular field visits, centre meetings and loan applicant assessments.
• Maintain portfolio quality by tracking normal dues, non-starters, delinquency and frauds.
• Build strong client relationships internally and externally; enhance brand identification.
• Ensure daily/weekly meetings and visits to centres.
• Freshers to max 5 years exp as a sales officer in microfinance.
• Basic understanding of Microfinance and JLG model preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities

To ensure the achievement of disbursement targets with minimum delinquency

Identifying Joint liability Groups & disbursed loans, to suit the target customers and geographies.

Enabling business growth by developing and managing a teams across assigned territories for deeper market penetration and reach.

Assess potential client base and product acceptability in new regions, areas & opportunities for geographical expansion of operational areas.

Disbursement, repayment and delinquency management, achieving daily / weekly collections targets

Makes a close follow up of the disbursed loans, especially of the ones not paying on time.

Undertake regular field visits, Centre Meeting and loan applicants

Maintaining portfolio quality by tracking & controlling Normal dues, Nonstarters, Delinquency, & Frauds.

Build strong client relationships both internally and externally and build a strong brand identification with potential customers.

Ensuring weekly / daily meetings & visit to centre

Fresher to maximum of 5yrs exp + as a sales officer in microfinance business

Basic understanding about Microfinance business and JLG model working would be preferred.
