Job summary

NTT DATA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS in India seeks a Medical Coding Supervisor to lead a coding team specializing in EM & ED Professional services. You will supervise daily activities, ensure adherence to coding guidelines, and provide training to maintain credentials and HIPAA compliance.

You will monitor unbilled accounts to reduce AR days, respond to provider inquiries (U.S. only), and deliver monthly performance feedback while ensuring SOPs and TAT/SLA targets are met.

Responsibilities

• Expertise in EM & ED Professional specialties.
• Monitor unbilled accounts to reduce AR days.
• Ensure adherence to coding guidelines within productivity standards.
• Address coding inquiries for providers (U.S. only).
• Attend meetings and in-service trainings to enhance coding knowledge and credentials.
• Provide supervision and direction to the team and manage day-to-day activities.
• Provide trend analysis of issues and solutions to customers.
• Respond to customer requests by phone and/or in writing for timely resolution of unpaid/denied claims.
• Maintain SOP adherence by team members.
• Provide monthly feedback to team members on performance.
• Provide provider guidance to team members to complete tasks.
• Ensure adherence to AR knowledge and credential maintenance in meetings/trainings.
• Ensure adherence to TAT and SLAs as defined by the customer.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Medical Coding Supervisor:

• Monitoring unbilled accounts report for outstanding and/or un-coded encounters to reduce accounts receivable days.
• Ensure adherence of coding guidelines within established productivity standards.
• Addressing coding related inquires for providers as needed, U.S. only.
• Attending meetings and in-service training to enhance coding knowledge, compliance skills, and maintenance of credentials.
• Provide supervision and direction to team and manage their day to day activities.
• Provide trend analysis of issues and solutions to customer.
• Respond to customer requests by phone and/or in writing to ensure timely resolution of unpaid and denied claims.
• Maintain and ensure adherence to SOP guidelines by team members.
• Provide monthly feedback to team members on their performance.
