Job summary

NTT DATA North America is seeking a certified trainer with extensive medical coding experience to lead ICD and CPT training for its Chennai-based team. The role focuses on keeping the team updated with the latest industry changes and creating high-quality training materials.

You will conduct client-specific trainings, perform chart audits, and develop onboarding programs while coordinating with the Training Manager to ensure consistent knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• Certified Trainer with minimum of 7-8 years of Experience in Medical Coding field with 3-4 year relevant work experience.
• Should have experience in training ICD and CPT and should be aware of the latest updates
• Proficient in English is must.

Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions on ICD and CPT for new hires.
• Create and track training content and updates.
• Must coordinate with Supervisors/ Training Manager for client-specific trainings and industry updates.
• Perform audits of charts processed by new hires and new specialty work.
• Develop onboarding programs for new employees and evaluate performance.

Roles & Responsibility:

• Certified Trainer with minimum of 7-8 years of Experience in Medical Coding field with 3-4 year relevant work experience.
• Should have experience in training ICD and CPT and should we aware of the latest updates
• Preferred Specialty - EM Multispecialty and Surgery
• Certification - CPC certified
• Proficient in English is must.
• Flexible to take up New specialty learnings when and where required and train the resources
• Expert in creating content and track the changes
• MS Excel and MS Powerpoint knowledge is must
• Must be responsible in doing all levels of training including Client specifics, Industry Updates and General coding Training by coordinating with the Supervisors/ Training Manager
• Must be flexible to do audits of charts processed by the new hires, any new specialty work done by the team and regular audits as and when required.
• Good to have - Evaluate employee performance to gauge where skills are lacking
• Good to have - Develop onboarding programs for new employees.
• Good to have - Research new updates and teaching methods.
• Good to have - Create training programs to address skill gaps in employees
