Job summary

NTT DATA North America seeks a Certified Trainer with extensive medical coding experience to lead training on ICD and CPT updates. The role emphasizes content creation, audits, and onboarding for new hires, with a focus on EM multispecialty and surgery. Strong English proficiency and CPC certification are required.

The successful candidate will coordinate with Training Manager, update training materials, and deliver client-specific and industry training across shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-8 years of medical coding experience with 3-4 years in training.
• Experience in training ICD and CPT; aware of latest updates.
• Preferred specialty: EM Multispecialty and Surgery.
• CPC certification.
• Proficient in English.
• Able to develop onboarding programs and audits.

Responsibilities

• Create training content and track changes.
• Train resources including client-specific updates and industry updates.
• Coordinate with Supervisors/Training Manager.
• Audit charts processed by new hires and audits of new specialty work.
• Evaluate employee performance to identify skill gaps.
• Develop and deliver training programs addressing skill gaps.

• Certified Trainer with minimum of 7-8 years of Experience in Medical Coding field with 3-4 year relevant work experience.
• Should have experience in training ICD and CPT and should we aware of the latest updates
• Preferred Specialty – EM Multispecialty and Surgery
• Certification – CPC certified
• Proficient in English is must.
• Flexible to take up New specialty learnings when and where required and train the resources
• Expert in creating content and track the changes
• MS Excel and MS Powerpoint knowledge is must
• Must be responsible in doing all levels of training including Client specifics, Industry Updates and General coding Training by coordinating with the Supervisors/ Training Manager
• Must be flexible to do audits of charts processed by the new hires, any new specialty work done by the team and regular audits as and when required.
• Good to have - Evaluate employee performance to gauge where skills are lacking
• Good to have - Develop onboarding programs for new employees.
• Good to have - Research new updates and teaching methods.
• Good to have - Create training programs to address skill gaps in employees
