Job Summary

We are looking for experienced BIW Fixture Design Engineers with strong expertise in Body-in-White (BIW) fixture concept design, 3D modeling, and 2D detailing for automotive manufacturing projects.

The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in designing Geo Stations, Re‑spot Stations, Welding Fixtures, and Grippers, along with a good understanding of BIW assembly processes, welding line concepts, and fixture design methodologies.

Candidates with practical experience in automotive BIW fixture design and proficiency in CATIA V5 or similar CAD software are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop BIW fixture concepts, 3D designs, and 2D manufacturing drawings for automotive body assembly lines.
• Design and develop Geo Stations, Re‑spot Stations, Welding Fixtures, and Grippers.
• Perform 3D modeling, assembly design, and 2D detailing using CATIA V5 or equivalent CAD tools.
• Understand and implement BIW manufacturing processes, fixture design standards, and assembly requirements.
• Work on welding line concepts and layouts involving resistance spot welding and arc welding processes.
• Ensure accurate component positioning, clamping, locating, and repeatability in fixture designs.
• Select suitable fixture components, materials, and standard elements based on functional and manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to resolve design issues and ensure design feasibility.
• Review designs for accuracy, quality, manufacturability, and adherence to project specifications.
• Manage assigned projects, meet delivery schedules, and support design modifications as required.

Required Skills and Experience

• Hands‑on experience in BIW Fixture Concept Design.
• Strong knowledge of Geo Stations, Re‑spot Stations, Grippers, and welding fixtures.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, FIDES, or equivalent CAD software.
• Understanding of BIW assembly processes, automotive body structures, and manufacturing workflows.
• Knowledge of spot welding, arc welding, and welding line layouts.
• Experience in 3D fixture design and 2D drawing detailing.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and design skills.
• Good communication, teamwork, and coordination abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple design activities and deliver projects within deadlines.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
