Job summary

Catalysts Bio Technologies seeks a hands-on Fermentation Specialist to support grain/molasses distilleries. You will apply liquefaction and fermentation knowledge, run client trials, and troubleshoot processes while coordinating with R&D.

The role requires strong MS Office skills, clear communication, and willingness to travel 15–20 days per month to client sites and our lab for sample analysis.

Qualifications

• Lab and process knowledge in grain/molasses-based distillery, especially liquefaction and fermentation.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office; good verbal and written communication; presentable.

Responsibilities

• Apply analytical and process knowledge to liquefaction and fermentation.
• Conduct product trials at client distillery plants.
• Troubleshoot fermentation processes and monitor performance of Catalysts products.
• Report fermentation data to technical team.
• Interact with R&D and input for new products and improvements.
• Maintain a data bank of process area and send samples for analysis every fortnight.
• Travel for trials and troubleshooting; willing to travel 15–20 days per month.

Job description

• Analytical and process knowledge of the Liquefaction and fermentation process (alcohol making).
• Conducting product trials @ distillery plants of our clients
• Performing trouble shooting activities of the fermentation process
• Monitoring alcohol making process and performance of the Catalysts products
• Suggesting enzyme / yeast solutions as per the process requirements
• Acting as subject matter expert (SME) on the fermentation process for our distillery clients
• Fermentation process data reporting to technical experts of the team
• Managing technical queries & resolving them with help of the team
• Interact with R&D and provide inputs on the potential for new products and improvements in existing products functionalities
• Has to maintain a complete data bank of process area as well as to send samples for analysis to our R&D/Lab on every fort-night basis.
• Open to learn and adapt to new technologies and advances in the enzyme industry
• Travel for trials/trouble shootings.
• Willing to travel 15-20 days in a month (or as required)

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Lab and Process Knowledge in Grain/ Molasses based Distillery especially in Liquefaction and Fermentation area..
• Good in Computer Knowledge, Microsoft Office, Verbal & Written Communication, and Presentable.
