Job summary

FIS is seeking a Connex/Base24 Developer for Pune/Bangalore/Chennai operations on HP NonStop/Tandem. You will join a cross-functional scrum team to design, develop and test the debit processing switch module, contributing to reliability and performance of card transactions.

Required 2–12 years in Connex/Base24 or EPOC, with TAL or C programming; COBOL is a plus. SAFe experience and attention to detail are essential for ensuring robust, scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–12 years of experience in Connex/Base24 or EPOC development.
• Experience with HP NonStop/Tandem development and Connex/Base24.
• Programming in TAL or C.
• Nice to have COBOL, SCOBOL.
• Experience with Pathway, Enscribe, and SQL.
• Understanding of debit card payment processing and ATM transactions.
• Familiarity with SAFe.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Connex/Base24 on HP NonStop/Tandem platforms.
• Work in a scrum team with PM/SM, developers, business analysts and QA.
• Analyze, design, program, debug, modify and unit test software enhancements.
• Ensure quality of individual deliverables and contribute to team QA.
• Interact with product managers/users to define system requirements.

About the team

What you will be doing

• A multifaceted HP NonStop/Tandem platform software Developer cum SRE position (for Card Transaction Authorization Processing (AP) function) with a high degree of responsibility and a broad spectrum of opportunities (of doing both application development & site reliability engineering role).
• Assigned to a scrum team consisting of project manager/scrum master, developers, business analysts, and quality control testers.
• Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, modifies, and unit tests software enhancements and/or new products.
• Takes personal responsibility for quality of individual deliverables and contributes to the quality assurance of the teams deliverables.
• Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or modifications.

What you bring

• Minimum 2 - 12 years of experience in Connex or Base24 or EPOC Development
• Experience with HP NonStop/Tandem development with skills in performing requirement analysis, design, and coding in Connex or Base24.
• Programming experience with TAL or C
• Good to have experience in COBOL, SCOBOL.
• Experience with Pathway, Enscribe, and SQL systems.
• Business knowledge and understanding of Debit Card payment processing environment and ATM transactions.
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprises (SAFe).
• Attention to detail, diligence, and accuracy.
