A Base24 EPS Developer job involves developing, configuring, and maintaining ACI Base24 EPS applications for payment transaction processing systems like ATMs and POS terminals. Key responsibilities include handling transaction flows, integrating with external systems, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and supporting production environments. Essential skills are a strong understanding of Base24 EPS modules, HP NonStop systems, and programming languages such as COBOL, TAL, and C/C++, along with experience in payment messaging standards like ISO 8583.

Key Responsibilities

Development and Customization

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain Base24 EPS applications for card processing and payment transaction management.

Integration

• Connect Base24 with external banking and payment systems to ensure seamless operation.

Production Support

• Provide debugging, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and ongoing support for the production environment.

System Management

• Support ATM/POS terminal integration, EFT switch configurations, and manage patching and upgrades for Base24 EPS.

Compliance

• Ensure all development adheres to security, audit, and regulatory requirements within the financial sector.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Base24 EPS Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Base24 EPS modules, components (like interfaces, ATM/POS device handlers), and architecture.
• HP NonStop / Tandem Systems: Strong experience with Tandem/HP NonStop platforms, including Pathway, TAL, TACL, and languages like COBOL, SCOBOL, and C.
• Payment Systems: Familiarity with ATM/POS transaction processing, EFT switch configurations, and payment settlement workflows.

Messaging Standards

• Good knowledge of ISO 8583 messaging.
• Programming: Proficiency in C/C++, Java, and/or Shell scripting.
