Job description
Specific Responsibilities:
Greets and assist in seating and offering the bar and snacks menu to the guests.
Answer all telephone calls within 3 rings.
Responds to calls with a smile using the standard phraseology.
Ensure to acknowledge a written handover from the previous shift.
Follows immaculate grooming standards in line with the resort’s grooming policy.
Knowledgeable about the destination, places of interest, shopping areas, etc.
Escorts the guest to their table and in case the restaurant hostess is assisting other guests.
Should be well versed of the departmental BRISOP (Brand Rosetta Integrated Standard Operating Protocols)
Interact with the guest, takes orders, prepares/serves drinks and snacks.
Is able to mix drinks, prepare cocktails and other beverages as ordered and in compliance with the resort’s standard drink recipes.
Ensures mis‑en‑place like garnishes, lemon juice, simple syrup, etc. are ready before hands daily based on the occupancy percentage.
Ensures the stacking of the bar chillers is carried out a night before as per the par stock levels set by the Bar and Beverage Manager.
Ability to upsell premium liquor selection and influence/train other team members for upselling and suggestive selling techniques.
Keep the bar area, counter, display, wine cellar and work area neat and clean at all times.
Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the beverage trolley.
Guide guests on resort activities, dining options, and general resort information.
Prepare daily requisitions as needed to replenish beverage stocks.
Advises the Bar and Beverage Manager for low beverages stocks for reordering purposes.
Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with the tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests.
Communicates operational difficulties, positive, constructive guest feedback and other relevant information with the Manager.
Check identification of the guest to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol and tobacco products.
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage items on the menu and the beverage list.
Record beverage consumption and maintain liquor inventory register daily.
Daily updates the Excise liquor register without fail.
Raise the store requisitions and updates the Bar/Beverage manager for monthly beverage requirements.
Records and maintains the inventory of cigarettes and cigar selection.
Responsible for maintaining the Bar’s operational equipment like the ice machine, coffee machine, chillers, blender, etc.
Responsible for achieving a score of 90% in Guest Satisfaction Index audit for the bar operations and follows the plan of action on the shortcomings shared by the management.
Responsible to maintain the cigar humidor.
Determine when a customer has had too much alcohol and if required refusing any further serving politely.
Possesses good product knowledge including types of rooms, resort facilities, restaurant operational hours, special functions and events held at the resort.
Should be aware of the daily and monthly budget and goals of the department.
Carry out any reasonable duties as instructed by the Bar and Beverage Manager.
