Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in training and guiding bar or F&B staff, including onboarding, performance support, and maintaining service standards.
• Sales and upselling skills to promote beverages, special offerings, and hotel services, contributing to revenue and guest satisfaction.
• Prior experience in a bar, lounge, or hotel F&B environment; supervisory or team leader experience is preferred.
• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field is advantageous.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency for POS systems, order entry, and reporting; familiarity with hotel systems is an added benefit.

Role Description

The Bar Captain is a full-time, on-site role based at Fortune Park Hotels Ltd. in Vellore. This role oversees daily bar operations, including supervising bar staff, coordinating service, and ensuring that guests receive prompt, courteous, and efficient hospitality. Responsibilities include managing beverage preparation and presentation, maintaining stock and inventory levels, monitoring hygiene and safety standards, and supporting compliance with hotel and brand guidelines. The Bar Captain collaborates with the Food & Beverage and Sales teams to promote menu offerings, upsell beverages, and support special events or promotions.
