Job summary

Accor in Agra is seeking a skilled bartender to join our hotel and lead high‑end beverage service. You will craft cocktails, mentor bar staff, and manage inventory to ensure quality and profitability. The role requires 3–5 years of experience in upscale venues, strong mixology knowledge, and compliance with health and licensing rules.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional bartending in a high-volume, upscale hospitality environment.
  • Advanced mixology expertise with knowledge of spirits, wines, beers.
  • Supervisory or assistant management experience in a bar or food & beverage setting.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and bar management software.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for inventory management, cost control, and financial analysis.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with ability to train, mentor, and motivate staff.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of wine pairing and sommelier principles.
  • Proficiency in Hindi or regional languages.
  • Experience developing innovative cocktails and managing events/promotions.
  • Certification in responsible alcohol service and training.
  • Strong background in guest relations and delivering personalized service.
  • Experience with revenue management and upselling techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a diverse range of cocktails, mocktails, and beverages with expertise and precision, maintaining the highest standards of mixology
  • Supervise and train bar staff on cocktail preparation techniques, customer service protocols, and operational procedures
  • Manage bar inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation of spirits, wines, beers, and bar supplies
  • Monitor and control bar costs, pricing, and profitability while maintaining quality standards and guest satisfaction
  • Develop and update bar menus, including seasonal cocktails and signature drinks that align with hotel standards and guest preferences
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations and company policies
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, understanding their preferences, and providing personalized recommendations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bar environment, adhering to sanitation and safety standards
