Job summary

TheWebVale is seeking a Backend Integrations Engineer to connect client software with external ecosystems such as Razorpay, Stripe, WhatsApp Business, SendGrid, and accounting tools. You will build resilient integrations and webhook handlers, ensuring secure and reliable data flow across systems for diverse business clients.

You’ll work with a tight-knit team in two- to three-week sprint cycles, contributing to tests, documentation, and scalable integration patterns.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of backend development experience with an integrations focus.
• High proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and REST API development.
• Experience integrating payment gateways like Razorpay or Stripe.
• Knowledge of webhook processing, idempotency keys, and asynchronous message flows.
• Strong debugging skills when tracing third-party payload discrepancies.
• Clear communication of integration status and edge-case exceptions.

Responsibilities

• Develop integrations with payment gateways, SMS providers, and WhatsApp APIs.
• Build fault-tolerant webhook ingestion endpoints with signature verification and retries.
• Transform external data formats into clean internal database models and events.
• Implement exponential backoff and rate-limiting handling for third-party calls.
• Write comprehensive integration tests against sandbox and mock external APIs.
• Document integration workflows and credential setup guides for client teams.

You will build and maintain integrations connecting client platforms with third-party payment gateways, CRMs, and communication services.

As a Backend Integrations Engineer at TheWebVale, you will connect client software to external ecosystems including Razorpay, Stripe, WhatsApp Business, SendGrid, and accounting tools. You will ensure data flows securely and consistently between systems for business clients.You will partner with backend engineers and product leads to deliver verified integrations during our two-to-three week sprint cycles. You will build resilient webhook handlers and error-tolerant synchronization routines.
