Job summary

Persistent Systems in Pune District, Maharashtra, seeks an experienced Azure Cloud Solution Architect to lead cloud transformation initiatives and architect enterprise-scale Azure solutions. You will work with customers, sales and delivery teams to define cloud strategies, develop roadmaps, and design secure, scalable Azure architectures that deliver measurable business outcomes.

You will lead assessments, provide executive advisory support, and ensure governance, security, and cost optimization

Qualifications

• 12-15 years of IT Infrastructure, Cloud Technologies, or Enterprise Architecture experience.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience architecting Microsoft Azure solutions.
• Proven track record leading large-scale cloud transformation and migration programs.

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Solution Architect to lead cloud transformation initiatives, architect enterprise-scale Azure solutions, and provide strategic advisory services to customers. The role requires a blend of deep Azure architecture expertise, infrastructure modernization experience, business consulting capabilities, and strong stakeholder engagement skills. You will work closely with customers, business leaders, sales teams, and delivery organizations to define cloud strategies, develop transformation roadmaps, and design scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.

What You'll Do:

• Lead enterprise cloud adoption, migration, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Define cloud transformation strategies, target-state architectures, and migration roadmaps.
• Conduct cloud assessments, discovery workshops, and executive advisory sessions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior technology and business stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into scalable Azure transformation solutions.
• Design end-to-end Azure solutions for cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, hybrid cloud, and managed services.
• Develop architecture blueprints, reference architectures, and technical standards.
• Lead architecture reviews, governance discussions, and solution validation activities.
• Ensure solutions meet security, resiliency, scalability, and operational requirements.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Define cloud governance frameworks and adoption best practices.
• Establish cloud operating models, platform strategies, and operational standards.
• Design observability, automation, monitoring, and service management approaches.
• Implement security, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
• Drive cloud operational excellence and platform sustainability.
• Create business cases, ROI models, and cloud value realization frameworks.
• Develop cost optimization strategies and cloud financial management practices.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, chargeback, and showback models.
• Identify opportunities for infrastructure optimization and operational efficiency.
• Help customers measure and achieve business benefits from cloud investments.
• Partner with account teams to shape strategic cloud opportunities.
• Lead technical solution discussions, customer workshops, and discovery sessions.
• Support RFPs, RFIs, proposals, and solution presentations.
• Develop solution approaches, delivery models, and effort estimations.
• Present technical and business value propositions to executive stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with business and technology leaders.
• Influence strategic decisions through architecture recommendations and roadmaps.
• Facilitate collaboration among business, security, infrastructure, and operations teams.
• Mentor architects, engineers, and consultants across cloud initiatives.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within cloud architecture practices.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 12 to 15 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Cloud Technologies, or Enterprise Architecture.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience architecting Microsoft Azure solutions.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale cloud transformation and migration programs.
• Strong customer-facing consulting and solutioning experience.
• Experience working with enterprise customers in complex multi-stakeholder environments.
• Experience in hybrid cloud, datacenter transformation, VMware modernization, identity management, and disaster recovery planning.
• Knowledge of Cloud Governance, FinOps, Cost Optimization, and Cloud Operating Models.
• Familiarity with ITSM, Automation, Observability, AIOps, and Managed Services frameworks.
• Excellent communication, consulting, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
• Ability to independently lead strategic cloud initiatives from assessment through implementation.
