Role Description

The Automotive Service Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai at Vishnu Cars' service locations. This role is responsible for greeting customers, understanding their vehicle concerns, and accurately documenting service requirements. The Service Advisor coordinates with technicians to schedule and monitor repairs, provides clear explanations of recommended services and costs, and ensures timely updates to customers throughout the service process. Daily tasks include preparing job cards, managing approvals, overseeing vehicle delivery timelines, and handling customer queries and feedback. The role focuses on maintaining high service standards, promoting workshop offerings, and supporting overall customer satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Vehicle Maintenance and Automotive Repair, with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
• Proven focus on Customer Satisfaction, including handling inquiries, resolving concerns, and maintaining long-term relationships.
• Effective Customer Service skills, with a professional, courteous, and solution-oriented approach.
• Clear and confident Communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers and service teams.
• Prior experience as a Service Advisor or in an automotive workshop environment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of Maruti Suzuki vehicle models and service schedules is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site full-time, manage multiple cases, and use service management systems or ERP tools.
• Relevant diploma or degree in automobile engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
