Job summary

Impact Hr N Km Solutions in India is seeking a design engineer to develop vehicle concepts and 3D models, translating styling into engineering-ready designs and ensuring compliance with OEM and safety standards.

Candidates with BE and 3–7 years of hands-on experience in concept, detail, and piping design will fit; the role collaborates with Styling, Product Eng, CAE, Manufacturing, and Marketing.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle concept design and engineering processes.
• BE degree in engineering or a related field is required.
• 3–7 years of hands-on design experience in automotive concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop vehicle and component concepts based on product requirements, market trends, and customer expectations.
• Create 2D sketches, 3D concept models, and design proposals for automotive systems and components.
• Collaborate with Styling, Product Engineering, CAE, Manufacturing, and Marketing teams during concept development.
• Conduct feasibility studies and packaging assessments for new vehicle concepts.
• Translate styling surfaces into engineering-ready designs.
• Participate in concept reviews and present design solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support benchmarking activities and competitor vehicle analysis.
• Evaluate design alternatives based on cost, performance, safety, and manufacturability.
• Ensure concept designs comply with OEM, regulatory, and safety requirements.
• Support prototype development and concept validation activities.
