Job summary

Sunovaa Tech is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to develop and maintain Cypress-based test frameworks for Lab Diagnostics products. You will design UI, API, integration, system, and end-to-end tests and implement automated scripts using JavaScript.

You will perform both manual and automated testing, integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to ongoing test suite improvements. Collaboration with developers and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Develop and maintain Cypress-based test automation frameworks and scripts.
• Design and execute UI, API, integration, system, and end-to-end test scenarios.
• Develop automated test scripts using Cypress and JavaScript.
• Perform both manual and automation testing using black-box, grey-box, and white-box approaches.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines and monitor pipeline failures.
• Maintain and continuously improve the integration and regression test suite.
• Improve automation coverage, test reliability, and execution efficiency.
• Perform API testing and UI testing for system and sub-system components.
• Identify, report, track, and validate defects through closure.
• Defect investigation and root cause analysis (RCA) with development teams.
• Create and maintain test specifications and QA documentation.
• Perform manual testing as required by project.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and cross-functional teams consistently.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities and contribute to quality improvement.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related discipline.


• 46 years of experience in software testing and test automation.


• Strong hands‑on experience with Cypress and JavaScript — mandatory.


• Experience developing or maintaining automation frameworks, preferably using Cypress.


• Strong experience in UI/Web automation, API testing, and integration testing.


• Hands‑on experience with Mocha, Jasmine, Jest and/or Chai.


• Experience with BDD/Cucumber and automation best practices.


• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.


• Experience integrating automation suites with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.


• Experience in defect management, debugging, failure analysis, and RCA.


• Good understanding of manual testing, including functional, regression, smoke, and system testing.


• Experience with Applitools/visual testing is an advantage.


• Experience with FlaUI or Windows application testing is an added advantage.


• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.


• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, and collaborate effectively with development and cross-functional teams.
