Job summary

Sree Subhiksha Housing and Enterprises Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled professional in Chennai for technical drawing creation and coordination. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma in Civil Engineering or Architecture with at least 3 years of experience in residential projects. You will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed drawings using Autocad, verifying dimensions, and ensuring compliance with CMDA regulations.

The role requires physical presence at the office and occasionally traveling to Corporation Office for approvals. Having your own two-wheeler and valid driving license is recommended.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in residential building plans and detailing.
• Familiar with CMDA/DTCP Pre-DCR Norms and approval drawings.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings using Autocad or ZWCAD.
• Verify dimensions and materials to minimize errors.

Job description

Desired candidate qualification and experience:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Diploma In Architecture or B.E.Civil candidates with at least 3 years experience exclusively in residential building plans / detailing and CMDA/Corporation Approval drawings
• Should have excellent working knowledge & exposure of using Autocad and/or Revit
• Should have exposure in structural detailing and quantity takeoff
• Should have experience in drafting of relevant discipline (Electrical/Plumbing etc) for all types of layouts and details
• Must be familier with CMDA/DTCP Pre-DCR Norms

Typical job functions:

The responsibilities associated with this job include,

• Drawing Creation in Autocad by interpreting the sketches, rough drawings, or specifications provided by the Project director, engineers, or external architects
• Use Autocad or ZWCAD software to create accurate and detailed technical drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details of residential buildings
• Verify dimensions, materials, and other details to minimize errors and rework
• Documentation and Record-Keeping:Maintain organized and up-to-date drawing files and records
• Coordinate with team members to ensure seamless integration of drawings across disciplines
• Incorporate changes and revisions to existing drawings as directed
• Maintain day to day record of work progress at site
• Verification of measurements for billing and giving approvals in finalization of sub-contractor billings

Other information:

• You will have to co-ordinate with Architects / Consultants for questions/doubts and be responsible for having the changes recorded in the office
• You will have to occasionally deal with customers (flat purchasers) for design changes sought by them

Location:

This job majorly involves work at our headoffice at Vadapalani. It is mandatory to be physically present (not remote work) for this job..

You have have to travel to Corporation Office/CMDA during submission of approval drawings for followup.

Having your own two wheeler and valid driving license required is strongly recommended.
