Job summary

Rikorah Group in Ludhiana, Punjab, is seeking an experienced CAD drafter to produce accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and shop drawings for architectural projects.

You will convert site measurements and client requirements into working drawings, coordinate with architects and designers, and support the sales team with drawings and proposals while maintaining meticulous project records.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or Mechanical Drafting is required.
• Minimum 14 years of AutoCAD drafting experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of architectural drawings, dimensions, sections, elevations, and construction details.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings, plans, elevations, sections, shop drawings, and detailed technical drawings.
• Convert site measurements, sketches, client requirements, and design concepts into working drawings.
• Prepare drawings for products such as doors, wardrobes, kitchens, faades, lift interiors, partitions, and other architectural products.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, clients, vendors, and internal teams for drawing approvals and revisions.
• Visit project sites for measurements, technical discussions, and verification whenever required.
• Review drawings provided by architects and consultants and identify technical requirements or discrepancies.
• Prepare basic quantity calculations and assist the sales team in preparing quotations and proposals.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, approvals, and project documentation.
• Support the sales team during client meetings with drawings, technical inputs, samples, and product presentations.
• Understand client requirements and suggest suitable technical and product solutions.

• Assist in generating and converting sales enquiries wherever required.
• Maintain lead, project, quotation, and follow-up information in the company CRM.
• Coordinate with suppliers and brand partners for technical specifications, drawings, and product information.
• Ensure that approved drawings are communicated correctly to production, installation, or execution teams.
• Track assigned projects from enquiry stage through approval, order confirmation, and execution.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Mechanical Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum 14 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D is essential.
• Ability to understand architectural drawings, dimensions, sections, elevations, and construction details.
• Experience in architectural products, interiors, modular furniture, kitchens, wardrobes, doors, faades, glass, metal works, or building materials will be an advantage.
• Good communication and client-handling skills.
• Comfortable interacting with architects, interior designers, contractors, and customers.
• Ability to take site measurements accurately.
• Basic understanding of quotations, BOQs, and commercial proposals preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, email, and office applications.
• Knowledge of SketchUp or other 3D software will be an added advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
