Job summary

You will identify and engage international vendors, negotiate favourable terms, and ensure timely customs clearance while driving cost reductions and efficiency improvements.

The role requires strong knowledge of Incoterms, LC, and ERP systems such as SAP and MS Excel, along with excellent negotiation and cross-cultural communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify vendors: Source international for finished goods.
• Negotiate contracts: Secure favourable terms, pricing, and payment schedules with global vendors.
• Evaluate performance: Assess supplier quality, delivery timelines, and compliance regularly.
• Cost optimization: Analyse market trends to reduce procurement costs and improve margins.
• Documentation control: Prepare and verify Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, and Packing Lists.
• Customs clearance: Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
• Logistics coordination: Freight forwarder management to optimize air, ocean, and land transportation.
• Stock management: Collaborate with warehousing teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate purchase records and present monthly cost benefit analyses to management.
