Job summary

NAB India invites applications for Associate Vice President – Data Audit Management to lead audits of data governance, privacy, and risk controls, and to ensure robust documentation and reporting.

Ideal candidates have 11–14 years in financial services risk or internal audit, a degree in data science, information systems or accounting, and professional qualifications such as CDMP, CDPSE, CISA or CISSP. Permanent role at NAB Innovation Centre India.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Efficient delivery and documentation of quality audit workpapers in the systems of record, including walkthroughs, control identification and testing.
• Efficient verification of audit raised issues within internal SLA targets, supported by quality workpapers.
• Provide timely feedback and coaching to colleagues to promote performance and development.
• Plan and project manage delivery of audits within agreed resource and time budgets.
• Draft succinct audit assignment plans reflecting agreed scope.
• Form effective working relationships with business contacts during audits to gather information and verify facts.
• Proactively manage risk; meet policy and compliance requirements; adhere to processes and escalate issues.

Support the planning, execution, and reporting of audit activities as per the Audit Charter and annual Audit Plan, with a focus on strengthening the organization’s data risk posture. This includes conducting audits and assessments across data architecture, data platforms, data management, governance, privacy, ethics, and records management, evaluating control effectiveness, and leveraging data analytics to ensure integrity, confidentiality, and compliance.

Experience

• 11 -14 years in financial services risk-based functions or internal audit in professional services firms.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field. professional qualification (e.g. CDMP, CDPSE,CISA, CISSP ).

Key Accountabilities

• Efficient delivery and documentation of quality audit workpapers in the systems of record, including walkthroughs, control identification, control design assessments and control operating effectiveness testing.
• Efficient verification of audit raised issues within internal SLA targets once the business indicate issues are complete, supported by quality workpapers.
• Provide timely feedback and coaching to colleagues to promote a performance and development culture.
• Plan and project manage delivery of audits within agreed resource and time budgets.
• Draft succinct and clear audit assignment plans that reflect agreed scope.
• Form effective working relationships with business contacts during audits so information can be gathered and facts verified, and escape delivery problems where they cannot be directly solved.
• Proactively manage risk; meet all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to Process and Procedures pertinent to role; and escape events, issues or breaches as they are identified.
