Job summary

Delhivery is seeking a capable logistics professional to plan daily truck deployment, optimize routes, and coordinate with drivers and warehouses to ensure timely deliveries.

The role emphasizes tracking movements via GPS/TMS, maintaining trip logs, and reporting performance. A background in logistics with 2–3 years of truck operations is preferred. You will work within Delhivery fleet operations to improve efficiency and safety, handling maintenance coordination and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Diploma in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
• 2–3 years of experience in truck operations, fleet planning, or logistics tracking.
• Experience with self-owned fleet operations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily truck deployment based on shipment requirements and delivery timelines.
• Prepare route plans to optimize distance, time, and fuel efficiency.
• Allocate trucks and drivers as per load, route, and legal capacity norms.
• Coordinate with warehouse, maintenance and control tower teams for smooth operations.
• Track truck movements using GPS / tracking systems.
• Monitor trip progress, delays, stoppages, and route deviations.
• Provide real-time updates to internal teams and control tower when required.
• Ensure timely loading, transit, and unloading of vehicles.
• Coordinate with drivers regarding trip details, schedules, and instructions.
• Ensure driver compliance with safety, driving, and rest regulations.
• Report and follow up on breakdowns, accidents, or emergencies.
• Maintain trip sheets, logs, and transport documentation.
• Track fuel consumption, mileage, and trip expenses.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on truck utilization and performance.
• Record delays, penalties, and operational issues for analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling

• Plan daily truck deployment based on shipment requirements and delivery timelines
• Prepare route plans to optimize distance, time, and fuel efficiency
• Allocate trucks and drivers as per load, route, and legal capacity norms
• Coordinate with warehouse, maintenance and control tower teams for smooth operations

Tracking & Monitoring

• Track truck movements using GPS / tracking systems
• Monitor trip progress, delays, stoppages, and route deviations
• Provide real-time updates to internal teams and control tower when required
• Ensure timely loading, transit, and unloading of vehicles

Driver & Fleet Coordination

• Coordinate with drivers regarding trip details, schedules, and instructions

• Support drivers with route guidance and issue resolution Reconciliation, Documentation & Reporting
