Job summary

GEA Group in Vadodara is seeking a design engineer with 4–8 years of mechanical design experience using SolidWorks, Keytech, or AutoCAD. You will convert customer processes into safe, feasible layouts, translate 2D drawings to 3D, check drawings and BOMs, and release fabrication drawings for production.

Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering and excellent English communication are required. Experience with stainless-steel sheet metal or machined parts for food processing, dairy, chemical

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering.
• Excellent written and oral English skills are a must.
• 4-8 years of design experience using SolidWorks, Keytech, Autodesk AutoCAD.
• Experience with design of stainless-steel components of sheet metal or machined parts for the Food processing and packaging, Dairy, Chemical and Pharma industry.

Responsibilities

• 2D to 3D drawing conversion.
• Customer processes into efficient, safe, and feasible layouts.
• Obtaining Design inputs & evaluating sufficiency of the same.
• Planning the overall work in line with Project schedule.
• Basic / mechanical design.
• Checking of drawings & BOMs.
• Review of drawings with Engineering-Manager for Approval.
• Release of Equipment Fabrication drawings & BOMs for Fabrication.
• Incorporation of Customer's comments.
• Obtaining interdisciplinary review/approval.
• Checking material cutting layouts (sheet metal layouts preferred).
• Other Departmental activities / Other activities as required
