Job summary

GEA Group in India seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to support global customers with engineering design tasks, and to draft sheet metal and machined parts.

You will create 3D models, 2D drawings, manage BOMs, and ensure on-time delivery while following review processes. Proficiency in Inventor/AutoCAD and Vault integration is essential; exposure to ERP/PDM systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in 2D & 3D CAD tools (Inventor, AutoCAD 2023+), with Plant 3D knowledge an added advantage.
• Knowledge of workflow between Autodesk Vault and Inventor.
• Experience in fabrication drawings, welding symbols and surface treatment.
• Understanding of hygiene and sanitary requirements of equipment.
• Ability to read equipment specifications, P&ID and engineering drawings.
• Proficient in BOM creation and design fundamentals.
• MS Office proficiency; experience with ERP/PDM systems (Bluestar, Axapta, SAP a plus).

Mandatory Qualifications

Your Profile / Qualifications

• You hold Degree in Mechanical Engineering and minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience and knowledge of 2D & 3D CAD Tools. Preferably Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD 2023 or higher, knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D would be an added advantage.
• Must have knowledge of workflow and integration between Autodesk Vault and Autodesk Inventor.
• Must have knowledge of fabrication drawings, welding symbols & surface treatment.
• Knowledge of hygiene and sanitary requirement of equipment.
• Ability to read & understand Equipment specification, P&ID information & Engineering drawings.
• Technically sound in Design Fundamentals and BOM creation
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Good knowledge of PDM & ERP system – Bluestar, Axapta, SAP would be an added advantage.
