Job summary

Aarvee Engineering is seeking an experienced MEP Manager – Design to lead the MEP engineering for building projects. You will manage the design team, review concepts, and coordinate with Architects and Structural teams to deliver integrated, cost-effective designs.

The role requires 8+ years in MEP design, strong coordination skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks. You will guide technical proposals and support tender requirements with a focus on energy efficiency and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in MEP design.
• Strong experience in building MEP design and multidisciplinary design coordination.
• Proven experience managing MEP design teams and multiple building projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV design principles.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks and other BIM/design software.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MEP Manager – Design to lead the design and engineering of MEP services for building projects. The role will be responsible for managing the design team, reviewing and coordinating MEP designs, ensuring compliance with project requirements and applicable codes, and delivering coordinated, cost-effective, and technically sound design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the MEP design team for building projects.
• Manage the design of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
• Review and approve MEP design concepts, calculations, drawings, specifications, and design reports.
• Coordinate MEP designs with Architectural and Structural disciplines to ensure fully integrated building designs.
• Review and resolve design clashes and coordination issues.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable national and international codes, standards, and authority requirements.
• Develop and review design basis reports, technical specifications, BOQs, and design calculations.
• Review HVAC load calculations, electrical load schedules, water demand calculations, fire-fighting requirements, and other relevant MEP calculations.
• Provide technical guidance to MEP engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, and other design disciplines.
• Review consultant/vendor designs, technical submissions, and equipment selections where required.
• Ensure designs are optimized for cost, energy efficiency, constructability, functionality, and sustainability.
• Participate in design review meetings and provide technical solutions to complex MEP design issues.
• Manage design deliverables and ensure submission of drawings and documents within project timelines.
• Conduct internal design reviews and ensure accuracy and quality of MEP deliverables.
• Support preparation and review of BOQs, specifications, tender documents, and technical proposals.
• Assist the project/business development team with technical inputs, design proposals, and tender requirements when required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in MEP design, preferably within the Buildings sector.
• Strong experience in building MEP design and multidisciplinary design coordination.
• Proven experience managing MEP design teams and multiple building projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV design principles.
• Good understanding of relevant IS, NBC, NFPA, IEC, ASHRAE, and other applicable standards/codes.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and other BIM/design software is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of design calculations, specifications, BOQs, and technical documentation.
• Excellent coordination, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
