Job summary

Physics Wallah (PW) in Bengaluru is seeking a driven Manager/Senior Manager - Academic Counselling to scale our counselling operations, drive admissions and revenue growth, and optimize the student journey across inbound, outbound, and walk-in leads.

You will mentor a team of Academic Counsellors, implement scalable processes, track KPIs, and collaborate with Marketing, Academic and Operations to achieve targets while delivering an exceptional experience for students and parents.

Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate in any discipline; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 5-10 years in Academic Counselling or education sales.
• Experience in leading counselling or sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Academic Counsellors to achieve admission and revenue targets.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve lead conversion, enrollment rates, and overall counselling effectiveness.
• Monitor team performance through defined KPIs and ensure achievement of business objectives.
• Drive admissions through effective management of inbound leads, outbound outreach, and walk-in inquiries.
• Conduct regular training, coaching, and performance reviews to enhance team productivity.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Academic, and Operations teams to improve the student acquisition journey.
• Analyze admission data, conversion metrics, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
• Ensure accurate CRM usage, reporting, and pipeline management across the team.
• Resolve escalations from students and parents while maintaining a high-quality counselling experience.
• Build and implement scalable counselling processes and best practices.

• 5-10 years of experience in Academic Counselling, Admissions, Inside Sales, or Education Sales.
• Proven experience in leading and managing counselling or sales teams.
• Strong understanding of admission funnels, lead management, and conversion strategies.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding revenue and admission targets.
• Excellent stakeholder management, team leadership, and people development skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in MIS, reporting, and performance tracking.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Skills
