Job Summary
We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Category Manager to lead and scale our Vitamins, Minerals Supplements (VMS) portfolio. This is an end-to-end ownership role responsible for category strategy, product roadmap, market sizing, competitive intelligence, pricing, positioning, and performance marketing inputs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about consumer health wellness, data-led decision making, and building consumer-loved products.
What will you do Category Ownership Strategy
- Own and drive the complete PL for the VMS category
- Build long-term category roadmap based on consumer trends, whitespace analysis, and market shifts
- Define GTM strategy, MRP/SP pricing matrix, and positioning for each launch
New Product Development
- Identify high-potential products backed by data, consumer insights, and scientific trends
- Collaborate with RD, Regulatory, and Sourcing teams to develop and commercialize new SKUs
- Benchmark formulations, formats (tablets, gummies, powders, etc.), and delivery systems with global peers
Market Research Consumer Insights
- Conduct deep-dive market mapping: size, segments, price bands, consumer personas
- Leverage internal data, third-party reports, Amazon/Baby Chakra/Flipkart analytics, and survey tools
- Run consumer feedback loops pre- and post-launch to fine-tune offerings
Competitor Pricing Benchmarking
- Map direct and indirect competitors (Carbamide Forte, Himalaya, Wellbeing, GNC, Tata 1mg, etc.)
- Continuously track pricing, discounting, content, ratings/reviews, and formulation USP
- Identify gaps in portfolio vs. leading brands
Performance Analysis Growth
- Monitor category sales, contribution margins, and velocity across online/offline channels
- Liaison with Growth Marketing teams to plan performance campaigns, ROAS benchmarking, and SKU-wise contribution
- Optimize product mix to maximize revenue and consumer lifetime value
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with RD, Operations, Quality, Legal/Regulatory, Brand Creative, and Digital Marketing
- Ensure alignment on timelines, documentation, and commercial readiness for launches
What are we looking for
- MBA (preferred) or Graduate with 4-7 years of experience in D2C Brands, Nutraceuticals, Consumer Health, or E-commerce category roles
- Experience with VMS or related wellness/nutrition categories is highly desirable
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills
