Job summary

GMR Group in Delhi seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead the Project Management team for ALD Infrastructure Projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with a strong focus on safety, quality and environment.

You will guide the team, manage interfaces across engineering, procurement and construction, and drive value engineering, documentation, and regulatory approvals to deliver high-impact airport/infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10 years of experience in Civil/Infra projects.
• 5 years in airport or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide Leadership to the Main Contractor to meet time and budget targets.
• Monitor infrastructure projects and deploy a strong review mechanism.
• Plan and sequence works; manage critical path and project scheduling.
• Drive value engineering and ensure interface alignment across engineering, procurement and construction.
• Ensure documentation control and compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.

Job Purpose

Lead the Project Management team for ALD Infrastructure Projects to ensure delivery of the Project by deploying best project management practices, use innovative methods and technology, emphasis on environment, safety, quality. Guide the team to achieve within time and cost, develop team competency and capability, ensure stakeholder/regulatory approval and their management, and provide leadership to obtain customer satisfaction take team to create a great place to work.

Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provide Leadership to the Main Contractor performance as per the project plans both in terms of Time and Budget. Guide construction team to achieve required result, ensuring all the clashes are resolved in time and there is no delay to Construction.
• Provide leadership in proper Monitoring of Infrastructure Projects and deploy strong review mechanism as per project manual,
• Planned Vs. Actual
• Check on the Project Critical Path.
• Project Planning & Sequencing of Works

Change Management / Value Engineering / Contract Management

• Guide team to develop value engineering proposals.
• Guide team to ensure all project interfaces wrt engineering, procurement and construction is resolved with Operations and Maintenance Departments.
• Provide leadership in developing project phasing.

Documentation Management

• Ensuring a strong documentation mechanism so that all project data is available in a click of button.
• Control the response and action Time

Safety, Quality and Environment

• Following and ensuring follow-up of the set safety, quality and environment standards.
• Emphasis on safe Man-hours and conforming quality control standards of the project. Ensure agreed environment standards to be deployed on site.

Team Development

• Ensure Employee engagement. Identifying training needs. Training the available team to perform the works as per the laid down procedures.
• Efficient and trained team which is dependable to achieve the stated results and creating great place to work

External Interactions

• Design/ BD/ Operations / P&E / Senior Management / Contracts / HR & Compliances.
• Ensure timely communication to contractor / sub-contractor / vender and complete their billing process within time lines.
• MAG audits.

Education Qualifications

⢠Bachelor of Civil Engineering.

Relevant Experience
