Job summary

Roots Group is seeking a seasoned safety professional to lead and implement safety initiatives across fabrication and assembly environments.

The role focuses on risk identification, HIRA, and preventive actions, while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and driving a culture of safety among associates, supervisors and operators.

Qualifications

• Having a proven track record in improving safety standards in the manufacturing industry (Fabrication)
• Improving employees health & safety, initiating proactive measures to eliminate non reportable incidents and maintaining all statutory requirements

Responsibilities

• Proven track record on improving safety in fabrication and assembly.
• Expertise in identifying potential risk, Job safety analysis (HIRA) and implementing preventive actions
• Strong & dynamic person to implement behavior-based safety movement
• Defining & implementing critical policies such as Work at height, Lifting, Electrical, Welding, LOTO, Contractors Management & Incident management
• Spearheading safety initiatives to the Associate Heads, Supervisors and Operators and implementing it
• Maintaining all statutory requirements up to date
• Conducting regular process walk along with Team leaders to bridge the gap in safety standards
