Job summary

Roots Group of Companies in Tamil Nadu seeks a seasoned safety professional to lead shop-floor safety initiatives across fabrication and assembly operations. You will drive risk assessments, implement JSA/HIRA, and develop critical safety policies to protect workers.

You will engage associate heads, supervisors and operators, monitor statutory compliance, and conduct process walk-throughs to raise safety standards to industry benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in improving safety standards in manufacturing (Fabrication).
• Experience identifying potential risk, performing JSA/HIRA and implementing preventive actions.
• Ability to lead behavior-based safety initiatives and drive across levels from Associates to Supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives on the shop floor across fabrication and assembly operations.
• Identify risks, perform JSA/HIRA, and implement preventive actions.
• Define and implement critical safety policies (Work at height, Lifting, Electrical, Welding, LOTO, Contractors Management & Incident management).
• Spearhead safety programs and coordinate with Associate Heads, Supervisors and Operators.
• Maintain compliance with statutory safety requirements and conduct regular process walk-throughs to close gaps.

SUMMARY

• Proven track record on improving safety in Fabrication & Assembly


• Having expertise in identifying potential risk, Job safety analysis (HIRA) and implementing preventive actions


• Strong & Dynamic person to implement behavior-based safety movement


• Achieve TRIR & LTIR to the bench mark standards


• Defining & implementing critical policies such as Work at height, Lifting, Electrical, Welding, LOTO, Contractors Management & Incident management


• Spearheading safety initiatives to the Associate Heads, Supervisors and Operators and implementing it.


• Maintaining all statutory requirements up to date


• Conducting regular process walk along with Team leaders to bridge the gap in safety standards
