Job description

Support engineering teams under general supervision by performing technical tasks
Create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables using CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling tools
Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality assurance programs
Analyze and interpret engineering deliverables for accuracy and compliance
Communicate key messages across groups and disciplines to maintain schedule and budget alignment
Review engineering drawings and provide feedback to junior technicians
Monitor progress reports and take corrective actions to keep projects on track
Independently perform 3D modeling and 2D drawing extraction
Perform physical design tasks including cable tray sizing, duct bank sizing, conduit sizing, and layout preparation
Modify typical engineering details to meet project-specific requirements
Provide technical guidance and task assignments to junior personnel
May provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineering technicians

Requirements

Typically a minimum of 2 years related work experience
Typically requires 3–10 years of experience
Strong foundational knowledge of engineering standards, systems, document control processes, and company policies
Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, E3D, and SP3D
Experience in 3D modeling in E3D and SP3D
Experience with cable tray sizing, grounding, lighting, lightning protection, raceway composites, circuit routing, clash checks, and CARMS
Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search
