Mipalloy is seeking a Graduate Engineer Trainee to support the Projects & Engineering team in drafting, designing, and setting up a new manufacturing facility. You will translate concepts into precise 2D layouts using AutoCAD, manage drawings, and coordinate layout details between vendors and on-site teams.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Civil or Electrical Engineering (2025/2026).
• Fresh graduate 0–1 year; internship in a plant or site preferred.
• Advanced 2D AutoCAD drafting with layering and scale proficiency.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling tools (SolidWorks/Inventor/Revit) advantageous.
• Good MS Office skills for data tracking and reporting.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Create/modify 2D drawings for factory layouts, equipment, and utilities with AutoCAD.
• Develop 3D models or isometrics to assist install visualization (if skilled).
• Update as-built drawings with field changes and redlines.
• Support on-site inspections to verify alignment with drawings.

Job Title: Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET)

Department: Projects & Engineering

Reports To: Project Engineer / Project Manager

Job Purpose:

The Graduate Engineer Trainee will assist the Project Engineering team in drafting, designing, and executing the setup of the new manufacturing facility. Acting as a key technical support asset, this role focuses on translating engineering concepts into precise 2D layouts using AutoCAD, maintaining project documentation, and coordinating layout details between vendors and the on-site execution team.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Engineering Design & Drafting (Core Responsibility)

Prepare, modify, and update detailed 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD, including factory layouts, equipment positioning, civil foundations, piping, and utility routing.

Develop 3D models or isometric views (if skilled) to help the project team visualize complex machinery installations and spatial constraints.

Incorporate redlines and field changes made during construction into the master "as-built" drawings.

2. On-Site Project Support

Assist Project Engineers in verifying that on-site civil, electrical, and mechanical installations match the approved engineering drawings.

Help conduct routine site measurements to cross-verify physical dimensions before heavy machinery is moved into position.

3. Documentation & Project Tracking

Maintain an organized, up-to-date repository of all engineering blueprints, vendor manuals, and statutory compliance documents.

Assist in updating project timelines (Gantt charts) and compiling daily or weekly progress reports for management.

4. Inter-departmental & Vendor Coordination

Collaborate with production, safety, and maintenance teams to understand layout constraints.

Assist in sharing technical drawings with external contractors and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education & Experience:

Educational Background:

Bachelors Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Mechanical, Production, Civil, or Electrical Engineering. (Graduated in 2025 or 2026).

Experience:

Fresh graduate (0 to 1 year of experience). Prior internship experience in a manufacturing plant or project site is highly desirable.

Technical Skills & Competencies:

AutoCAD Expertise:

Advanced proficiency in 2D drafting, shortcut commands, layering, and scale conversions is mandatory.

3D Modeling (Highly Preferred Advantage):

Solid foundational knowledge of 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Revit, or AutoCAD 3D will be considered a strong competitive advantage.

Blueprint Reading:

Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints across disciplines (Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical).

Basic IT Skills:

Good command over MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for creating data tracking sheets and presentations.
