Job summary

Kuloday is looking for an experienced engineer to develop detailed AutoCAD drawings for plant layouts, elevations and piping. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate layouts, space optimization and compliance with project schedules.

The role involves converting PDFs to AutoCAD, creating templates and maintaining centralized storage of drawings to support tender packages and site execution. Strong problem solving and continuous improvement mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in selecting and preparing equipment layouts and packages for boilers, air systems and piping.
• Ability to convert PDFs into AutoCAD drawings for machine layouts and circuits.
• Strong capability to analyze plant layout for space utilization and optimization.

Job description

Projects:

• Experience in selecting preparing the equipment layouts/Packages like, Coal, FO/NG fired boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, vacuum system, nitrogen, pumps and process piping, HVAC & Chillers Etc.
• Experience in layout of Cable trays, Cable route, pipe racks and support and piping layout drawing in AutoCAD, Isometric drawings, PFD, P&ID, Piping layout, and superimposing with equipment layout drawing with suppliers.
• Responsible for the detailed Architectural and civil, structural drawing AutoCAD drawings of factories for preparing the Prebid and Post bid technical clarification and inter coordination with engineering consultants, statutory bodies for compliance and execution of engineering tender packages as per project schedule.
• Responsible and prepare detailed Architectural and civil, structural AutoCAD drawings of the plant and super-impose vendor equipment layout drawing for inter-coordination.
• Experience in preparation of Statutory drawings like Architecture Master plan, Fire hydrant system, Substations, Manufacturing sheds, Raw Material Layouts, Finished Goods Warehouse drawing Etc.
• Well versed with Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing drawing for the projects and inter-coordination with Vendor GA drawing.
• Responsible for the day-to-day management and deliverable completion of the engineering aspects of the project, using agreed resources, by an agreed date to agreed safety standards and an agreed quality within an agreed budget.

Engineering:

• Development of Part drawing for the engineering components like, rollers, knives, Connecting gears and other mechanical components, material selection, standards and Engineering Codes.
• Ability to convert PDF drawing files in to AutoCAD drawings with respect to machine layouts, electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic circuits etc.
• Deft in analyzing plant layout drawing for the space utilization and optimization with respect to man, machines and material.
• Problem solving skills, Continuous improvement & collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for high quality engineering solutions.

Management of Change:

• Remain updated for the individual skills and software for knowledge, process and tools required to deliver targets.
• Ensure to support the manufacturing improvement initiative/projects and adopt to requirement accordingly.

Management of Improvement Projects / AutoCAD Drawings:

• Develop the detailed work breakdown structure of complex activities and form them into an integrated plan.
• Provide time-based schedules and resource allocations for complex plans or implementations and outcomes.
• Develop system and nomenclature for drawing templates and identification.
• Develop centralized storage system for Projects and Engineering drawings.
• Develop back-ups and redundancy system at server or the hard disc level for statutory, projects and engineering drawings.
