Job summary

EMO.energy, a fast-moving deep-tech EV company in Bangalore, is seeking an Associate in Business Strategy & Finance to drive strategic growth, fundraising, and investor relations. You will engage with senior leadership to shape capital raising efforts, partnerships, and corporate strategy while coordinating with financial institutions and VC firms.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years in corporate strategy or investment-related roles, strong financial modelling skills, and a passion for clean energy

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Corporate Strategy, Strategic Finance, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, Investor Relations, Fundraising, Management Consulting, or similar roles.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, fundraising, venture debt, capital markets, and financial analysis.
• Experience in financial modelling, valuation, budgeting, and business forecasting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Prior experience in startups, clean energy, EV, climate-tech, fintech, or high-growth organizations will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support equity fundraising, venture debt, structured finance, and other capital-raising initiatives.
• Prepare investor presentations, financial models, pitch decks, information memorandums, and due diligence documentation.
• Coordinate with Venture Capital firms, Family Offices, Banks, NBFCs, Financial Institutions, and investors.
• Track fundraising pipelines, investor interactions, and financing opportunities.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry benchmarking to support strategic business decisions.
• Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion initiatives.
• Build financial models, business forecasts, valuation models, and management reports.
• Prepare executive presentations, board materials, and strategic business reports.
• Work cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Operations, Product, and Leadership teams to drive strategic initiatives.
• Support investor relations activities, including investor updates, reporting, and due diligence coordination.
• Drive special projects assigned by senior leadership to support business growth and operational excellence.
• Stay updated on market trends, funding landscape, EV ecosystem, and emerging financing opportunities.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Business Strategy & Finance Associate to support EMO Energy's strategic growth initiatives by working on fundraising, venture debt, investor relations, strategic partnerships, and financial analysis. The role offers an opportunity to work closely with senior leadership on high-impact projects, helping drive capital raising activities, business expansion, and corporate strategy in a fast-growing deep-tech startup.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.


• MBA (Finance/Strategy) is preferred.


• CA / CFA (Completed or Pursuing) will be an added advantage.


• 2–5 years of experience in Corporate Strategy, Strategic Finance, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, Investor Relations, Fundraising, Management Consulting, or similar roles.
