Job summary

Marsh Risk India, a Marsh business, seeks a talented individual to join our Marine team in a hybrid role requiring three days in office per week. The candidate will manage marine products and serve existing clients while sourcing optimal placements with global markets.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in insurance or marine sectors, an MBA from a reputed B-School, and strong leadership, analytical, and relationship skills. MS Office proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• MBA from a reputed B-School.
• 7+ years of experience in insurance industry or Marine sector.
• Experience with global capability centers of insurers/brokers.
• Corporate relationship management experience.
• Ability to manage diverse client cultures (Indian Corporate, MNC, PSU).
• Demonstrated leadership roles in community/school/college.

Responsibilities

• Manage the marine practice: Hull & Machinery, P&I, Additional War Risk, Marine Open Cover, Ports & terminals.
• Service existing clients and develop new clients.
• Interact with risk markets to source best placement solutions.
• Place 100% of risk within deadlines.
• Ensure documentation and policy delivery on time.
• Renewal tracking and timely premium reminders.
• Coordinate with Operations to bookings and debit notes.
• Assist clients with claims queries and liaise with surveyors/insurers.
• Conduct client workshops on policy coverages.

Job description

are seeking a talented individual to join our Marine team at Marsh Risk India, a Marsh business. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

• To manage the marine practice- Especially the below products:
• H&M (Hull and Machinery)
• P&I (Protection and Indemnity)
• AWRP (Additional War Risk)
• Marine Open Cover
• Ports and terminals
• Focus on servicing existing clients and develop new clients.
• Interacting with all relevant risk insurance markets and sourcing the best placement solutions for our clients on direct/RI markets.
• Placing 100% of the risk according to the deadlines
• To ensure all the documentations are complete.
• To ensure all policy documents are in order and are reaching the clients within agreed time.
• Renewal tracking and ensuring timely reminders are sent to the clients for premium payment to ensure insurance continuity.
• Working with Operations teams to get all the bookings done in the system/generate debit notes, etc
• Providing continuous assistance to our clients with regard to any query related to claims.
• Follow up with Surveyor and Insurer with smooth claim settlement.
• Conduct workshops for clients on policy coverages along with insurer.

What you need to have:

Educational Background

• MBA from a reputed B - School.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in insurance industry or Equivalent experience working with Global capability centers of Insurer’s/ Brokers or experience in working within Marine sector
• Prior Experience in marine preferred.
• Corporate Relationship Management / Business Solution Provider from a service background.
• Ability to manage diverse client cultures i.e. Indian Corporate, MNC Corporation and PSU clients.
• Proven Leadership skill traits (elected leader in community, school & college). Background of having leadership role.
• Strong Analytical skills.
• Good Networking skills and Relationship Management skills.

Technical Skills

• MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
