Job summary

Rotomotive Powerdrives India Ltd in Mumbai is seeking a Sales Engineer to generate inquiries and drive sales for gearboxes and power transmission devices. You will build strong product and brand awareness across the region and manage direct OEM customer relationships.

You will partner with Marketing to plan campaigns, develop literature, and represent the company at trade fairs and exhibitions. Training and mentoring of staff, plus collaboration with Product Engineering for customizations, are

• Strong technical understanding of gearboxes, motors, and power transmission systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate inquiries and drive sales for gearboxes and power transmission devices while building strong product and brand awareness across the assigned region.
• Develop and maintain direct relationships with OEM motor customers, executing aggressive follow‑up strategies to achieve brand switchovers and expand market share.
• Partner with the Marketing Manager to plan and execute advertising campaigns, select effective media channels, and represent the company at trade fairs and industrial exhibitions.
• Lead the design and distribution of product literature and coordinate mass marketing activities (offline and online).
• Train and mentor representatives and service engineers, ensuring alignment with sales and service objectives.
• Collaborate with the Product Engineering Group to support new product development and customer‑specific customizations.
• Maintain and manage a structured inquiry database to track leads, customer interactions, and conversion metrics.
• Support Sales and Marketing with business cases, product inputs, and service‑related requirements.
• Contribute to organizational growth through training initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
