Job summary

Medhavi Skills University in Sikkim seeks an experienced academic leader to deliver theory, practical, and skill-based sessions for Anesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology programs. The role covers coordinating labs, clinical postings, internships, and mentoring students.

The incumbent will drive research, curriculum development, and accreditation support, while leveraging industry partnerships to enhance employability and hands-on training across programmes.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in OT/Anesthesia/Perioperative Technology from a recognized institution.
• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
• Industry certifications related to Anesthesia and OT practices.
• Training in simulation-based education, patient safety, or healthcare quality.
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching and/or clinical experience in a recognized hospital, OT complex, anesthesia department, or academic institution.

Responsibilities

• Deliver theory, practical, and skill-based sessions.
• Coordinate laboratory sessions, clinical postings, internships, and OJT/OJL activities.
• Mentor students and provide academic counselling.
• Prepare question papers, assessments, and evaluation reports.
• Participate in research, publications, and curriculum development.
• Support accreditation, BOS activities, admissions, and institutional events.
• Facilitate simulation-based training and operating theatre skill development.

Role Overview:
