Job summary

Mt Autocraft in Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh, is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Production Planning & Control (PPC) to manage customer schedules, production planning, material planning and dispatch coordination at our automotive manufacturing plant.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automotive machining or forging, with 5+ years in PPC, OEM schedule exposure, and proficiency in ERP/MRP and advanced Excel. You will lead a team and ensure timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily/weekly production plans from customer schedules and dispatch commitments.
• Develop shop floor and machine loading plans with capacity use.
• Monitor production vs plan and initiate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Stores for material availability.
• Perform MRP and monitor material shortages.
• Track WIP, FG and RM inventory against stock norms.
• Prepare dispatch plans and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Track OTIF and schedule adherence; manage order backlog.
• Plan outsourced processes (heat treatment, plating, job-work).
• Maintain ERP data: BOM, routing, cycle time, planning params.
• Prepare PPC MIS reports using Excel and ERP systems.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Guide PPC and Dispatch Executives; support PPC Head.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager Production Planning & Control (PPC) to manage customer schedules, production planning, machine loading, material planning, inventory control and dispatch coordination at our automotive manufacturing plant.

The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in automotive machining or forging operations, preferably in a Tier‑1 or Tier‑2 automotive component manufacturing company supplying to OEM customers. The candidate must be capable of ensuring production plan adherence, optimum inventory levels and timely customer deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily and weekly production plans based on customer schedules, releases and dispatch commitments.
• Develop shop‑floor‑wise production plans, machine loading plans and capacity utilisation schedules.
• Monitor production versus plan, identify bottlenecks and initiate corrective actions to achieve production targets.
• Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for raw material, forging and bought‑out component availability.
• Perform Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and monitor material shortages against production requirements.
• Monitor WIP, finished goods and raw material inventory against defined stock norms.
• Prepare daily dispatch plans and coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores and Logistics to ensure on‑time deliveries.
• Track customer delivery performance, OTIF, schedule adherence and order backlog.
• Plan and follow up outsourced processes, including heat treatment, plating and job‑work operations.
• Maintain accurate ERP data, including BOM, routing, cycle time, production schedules and planning parameters.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly PPC MIS reports using MS Excel and ERP systems.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to resolve production, quality, material and dispatch issues.
• Guide PPC and Dispatch Executives and support the PPC Head in daily operations.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Production Planning & Control, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in automotive component manufacturing, preferably in machining or forging.
• Exposure to Tier‑1 / Tier‑2 automotive suppliers and OEM customer schedules will be preferred.
• Good knowledge of ERP‑based production planning, inventory management and dispatch coordination.
• Strong communication, analytical and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage production priorities, meet delivery deadlines and work in a target‑driven manufacturing environment.
