Talent Corner Hr Services is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager - PPC to join our Operations team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The role focuses on production planning, scheduling, and inventory management within aerospace/precision engineering, ensuring on-time delivery and high quality.

The candidate will develop detailed production schedules, coordinate with cross-functional teams, monitor KPIs like OTD and inventory turnover, and drive lean improvements using Six Sigma principles.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 7–12 years of experience in PPC in aerospace/precision engineering.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on orders, capacity, and materials.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Quality, Logistics to ensure timely execution.
• Monitor progress and address deviations to meet delivery timelines.
• Analyze capacity and bottlenecks to optimize resources.
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, finished goods.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely materials and monitor supplier performance.
• Track KPIs like OTD, efficiency, and inventory turnover; prepare reports.
• Identify opportunities for lean improvements and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Coordinate with customers and sales to align demand forecasts.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager - PPC to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management within the aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering sectors. The role involves ensuring seamless production flow, optimizing resources, and meeting customer delivery commitments while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Scheduling:
  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders, capacity, and material availability.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Production, Procurement, Quality, Logistics) to ensure timely execution of plans.
  • Monitor production progress and address deviations to meet delivery timelines.
• Capacity & Resource Planning:
  • Analyze production capacity and identify bottlenecks to optimize resource utilization.
  • Plan manpower, machinery, and tooling requirements to meet production targets.
• Inventory Management:
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess and obsolete stock.
• Material Requirement Planning (MRP):
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address material shortages or delays.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OTD, production efficiency, and inventory turnover.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production status, challenges, and improvement plans.
• Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and lead time improvement.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to enhance productivity.
• Customer Coordination:
  • Liaise with customers and internal sales teams to understand demand forecasts and align production plans accordingly.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 712 years of experience in Production Planning & Control within the aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Proven experience in capacity planning, inventory management, and production scheduling.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross‑functional coordination.

Desirable:

• Certification in APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or similar.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience in a high‑mix, low‑volume (HMLV) manufacturing environment.
