JAC Recruitment is seeking a Production Planning & Control (PPC) Assistant Manager for an automotive manufacturing environment in India. The role encompasses project coordination, material and production planning, customer and vendor engagement, resource management, and process improvement to ensure timely project execution.
Responsibilities include managing new projects, coordinating with customers, applying Kanban systems, and utilizing SAP for project setup, planning, and execution.
The Production Planning & Control (PPC) Assistant Manager role supports the development and implementation of new projects within an automotive manufacturing environment. The position combines project coordination, material and production planning, customer and vendor engagement, resource management, and process improvement to support timely and efficient project execution.
Manage new projects, including development and implementation activities
Interact directly with customers to discuss, coordinate, and execute new projects
Apply Kanban systems and oversee material planning, inventory control, and A-Class material management
Use SAP for new project setup, production planning, material management, execution, and other operational activities
Track action items, follow up on target dates, communicate updates, delegate tasks, and ensure timely completion
Prepare presentations, detailed documentation, reports, and data analyses to support project and operational decisions
Manage PPC-related assets, including trucks, forklifts, trolleys, bins, and other material-handling equipment
Conduct training programmes, team-building initiatives, and DOJO-based learning activities
Coordinate with vendors to implement new delivery flows, process improvements, and supply chain efficiency initiatives
Identify and implement opportunities to improve space utilisation and operational layouts
Manage manpower deployment and workforce planning, including identifying critical manpower requirements
Maintain knowledge of safety requirements, promote 5S practices, and drive workplace safety initiatives
Prepare and manage annual budgets, including cost planning and monitoring
Support the effective use of SAP modules relevant to production planning, material management, and operational activities
Experience handling the development and implementation of new projects within a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of Kanban systems, material planning, inventory control, space utilisation, and production planning and control activities
Working knowledge of SAP modules relevant to production planning, material management, new project setup, and operational execution
Strong project coordination, documentation, data analysis, presentation, task delegation, and team-development capabilities
