Responsibilities

• Demand planning & forecasting using historical data, market insights, and trends.
• Maintain optimal stock levels and monitor inventory turnover and safety stock.
• Track KPIs (forecast accuracy, fill rate, inventory cost) and provide actionable insights.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics and production to sync demand and supply; manage monthly indents.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings in procurement, transportation, and inventory management.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports for SCM and ensure timely data sharing for reviews.

Job description

Position: Assistant Manager Planning
Location: Gurugram Office

Key Responsibilities (KRA):

1. Demand Planning & Forecasting

• Develop accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market insights, and trends.
• Conduct regular forecast reviews and adjust plans in line with changing market dynamics.

2. Inventory Management

• Maintain optimal stock levels by monitoring inventory turnover and safety stock requirements.
• Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile variances.
• Minimize excess inventory and reduce obsolescence.

3. Analytics

• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, fill rate, and inventory carrying cost.
• Provide actionable insights to support strategic decisions.

4. Supply Chain Coordination

• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to synchronize demand and supply.
• Manage dispatch planning for monthly indents and promotional items.

5. Cost Optimization

• Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings in procurement, transportation, and inventory management.

6. MIS & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain MIS reports for the SCM department.
• Ensure timely and accurate data sharing for management reviews.
