Job summary

LEAD Group is seeking a Senior Manager – Planning to drive demand and supply strategy, forecasting, and inventory optimization across verticals. The role collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to minimize stockouts and balance inventory levels.

The candidate should lead data-driven demand planning, develop forecasts, and translate them into actionable supply plans while optimizing working capital and logistics efficiency.

Qualifications

• MBA/PGDM from a Tier 1 institute (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, SPJIMR, etc.).
• 3-8 years of experience in Demand and Supply Planning, Forecasting, or Supply Chain Strategy.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, data modeling, and analytical tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data insights to strategic actions.
• Proven track record of leading planning for large-scale or pan-India operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end demand forecasting using advanced analytical tools and business intelligence.
• Develop, validate, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts to senior leadership.
• Analyze historical sales, market trends, and business drivers to improve forecast accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance) to consolidate assumptions and drive consensus on demand plans.
• Translate demand forecasts into actionable supply and production plans.
• Design and implement supply planning models that ensure business continuity while optimizing working capital.
• Develop and monitor inventory strategies for new launches, ongoing SKUs, and product phase-outs.
• Lead network optimization initiatives to reduce turnaround time (TAT) and improve logistics efficiency.
• Drive cross-functional coordination for allocation, replenishment, and liquidation planning.
• Build dashboards and analytical models to track forecast accuracy, fill rates, and key supply chain KPIs.
• Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements through analytics.

The Senior Manager – Planning plays a pivotal role in driving the organization’s demand and supply strategy. This role involves leveraging data-driven insights to forecast demand, align supply chain operations, and optimize inventory across business verticals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sound understanding of supply chain economics, cost-to-serve, and market dynamics.
