Job summary

Bagchi Sri Shankara Cancer Centre & Research Institute in Odisha seeks an experienced Clinical Operations & Governance leader to bridge executive management, clinical consultants, nursing, and operations. You will oversee OPD/IPD workflows, OT scheduling, and ICU readiness, ensuring seamless coordination across departments.

Responsibilities include leading NABH/NABL quality audits, medicolegal processes, regulatory reporting, and managing clinical staffing while addressing patient grievances

Qualifications

• MBBS degree from a recognized institution (mandatory) and MHA is required.
• 5+ years clinical-administrative experience in a 200+ bed tertiary care hospital.
• Strong knowledge of NABH/NABL standards and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical operations and governance across executive, consultants, nursing, and operations.
• Oversee OPD/IPD workflows, OT scheduling, and ICU readiness.
• Lead clinical quality audits and infection control with NABH/NABL compliance.
• Manage medicolegal cases, regulatory reporting, and post-mortem protocols.
• Address patient grievances and uphold medical ethics in doctor–patient communications.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Clinical Operations & Governance: Serve as the administrative bridge between executive management, clinical consultants, nursing staff, and operational teams. Oversee OPD/IPD clinical workflows, OT scheduling, and ICU/emergency department readiness.
• Quality, Infection Control & NABH: Lead clinical quality audits, mortality/morbidity reviews, infection control practices, and ensure 100% compliance with NABH/NABL standards.
• Medical Roster & Staffing Management: Manage duty rosters, call schedules, leave approvals, and clinical coverage for junior residents, medical officers, and consultants.
• Medicolegal & Regulatory Compliance: Oversee Medicolegal Cases (MLC), statutory reporting, post-mortem protocols, court summons, and compliance with local health authority laws.
• Clinical Grievances & Escalations: Address patient clinical grievances, handle complex doctor-patient communication during adverse outcomes, and enforce medical ethics.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Education: MBBS degree from a recognized institution (Mandatory), combined with a Master of Hospital Administration (MHA).
• Experience: 5+ years of clinical-administrative experience within a 200+ bed tertiary care hospital.
• Key Skills: Deep understanding of clinical protocols, NABH accreditation standards, medicolegal processes, Hospital Information Systems (HIS), and emergency management.
