Job summary

Shree Abirami Enggineering Works in Chennai is seeking an Assistant Marketing Manager to drive business growth in Transformer Manufacturing, Remanufacturing, Repair, Refurbishment and Maintenance services. The candidate should possess deep knowledge of transformers and strong business development skills to build long-term relationships across industrial and utility sectors.

The role requires 2-8 years of experience in electrical or marketing fields, with BE/BTech and MBA advantageous.

• BE/BTech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics or related discipline.
• MBA in Marketing will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Identify new business opportunities in transformer manufacturing, remanufacturing, repairs, refurbishment, testing, and maintenance services.
• Visit customers regularly for business development, company presentations, and technical discussions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial customers, EPC contractors, OEMs, utilities, government organisations, and key decision-makers.
• Generate enquiries, prepare techno-commercial quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and convert enquiries into orders.
• Maintain a healthy enquiry pipeline and achieve assigned sales targets.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, service, and dispatch teams for smooth execution of customer orders.
• Follow up with customers for quotations, purchase orders, deliveries, invoice submissions, and payment collections.
• Support tender and e-tender activities including preparation and submission of technical and commercial documents.
• Conduct product presentations, customer meetings, exhibitions, and promotional activities.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and customer requirements.
• Prepare sales forecasts, business development reports, and monthly MIS.
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities in CRM.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction through regular follow-ups and effective after-sales support.

• Experience in B2B Industrial Sales and Technical Marketing.
• Ability to prepare techno-commercial proposals and tender documents.
• Good commercial knowledge including GST and basic business processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and customer relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
• Strong telephonic communication and customer handling skills.

• Willing to travel extensively (1520 days per month) for business development and customer meetings.
• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.
