Job summary

The Organic World is seeking an experienced Store Trainer/Retail Trainer to lead training and development initiatives across its retail stores in Bengaluru. The role focuses on elevating employee performance through structured training, enhancing product knowledge, and improving sales capability while ensuring operational compliance.

Responsibilities include designing programs for staff, onboarding, in-store and on-the-job training, and managing calendars.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Retail Management, HR, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Retail Training, Store Training, Learning & Development, or Sales Training.
• Experience in supermarket, grocery, FMCG, retail chain, or food retail industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and implement training programs for store staff, supervisors, and store managers.
• Conduct induction and onboarding programs for new employees.
• Facilitate classroom, in-store, and on-the-job training sessions.
• Develop training calendars and ensure timely execution across locations.
• Train employees on Organic World's product categories, including organic groceries, fresh produce, health foods, and wellness products.
• Enhance product knowledge to improve customer recommendations and cross-selling opportunities.
• Conduct sales training to improve conversion rates, basket size, and customer engagement.
• Train teams on customer service standards and customer experience best practices.
• Conduct mystery audits and coaching sessions to identify improvement areas.
• Drive initiatives to improve customer satisfaction scores.
• Ensure employees are trained on SOPs, billing processes, inventory management, merchandising, and store hygiene standards.
• Train teams on loss prevention, stock management, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor adherence to operational standards through regular store visits.
• Identify skill gaps through training needs analysis.
• Provide continuous coaching and feedback to improve employee performance.
• Partner with Store Managers to create individual development plans.
• Track training attendance, completion rates, and effectiveness metrics.
• Prepare training reports, dashboards, and progress updates.
• Evaluate training outcomes and recommend improvements.
