Sarvodaya Hospital in Haryana seeks an experienced Procurement & Supply Management leader to oversee the end-to-end buying of hospital materials and services. You will plan, organize, and supervise procurement, ensure timely stock, coordinate with user departments, and drive cost control.

You will manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, monitor budgets, support audits, and guide a team of procurement staff to maintain compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Operations, or Hospital Administration preferred.
  • Certification in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.

Job description

Role & responsibilities :
Procurement & Supply Management
  • Plan, organize, and supervise the procurement of all hospital-related materials and services.
  • Ensure timely procurement of medical and non-medical items to avoid stock-outs.
  • Monitor purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders within defined timelines.
  • Coordinate with user departments to understand procurement requirements and priorities.
  • Ensure uninterrupted availability of critical items required for patient care and hospital operations.
Vendor Management
  • Identify, evaluate, and empanel new vendors as per hospital procurement policies.
  • Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews based on quality, pricing, delivery timelines, and service support.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, annual rate contracts, and supply agreements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers and manufacturers.
Cost Control & Budget Management
  • Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Conduct comparative analysis and market surveys for procurement decisions.
  • Ensure purchases are made within approved budgets and financial guidelines.
  • Participate in annual budgeting and procurement planning exercises.
Inventory Coordination
  • Coordinate with stores, pharmacy, biomedical, engineering, and user departments for inventory management.
  • Monitor consumption trends and reorder levels.
  • Assist in reducing non-moving, slow-moving, and expired inventory.
  • Ensure optimum stock levels are maintained without overstocking.
Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure compliance with NABH standards, statutory requirements, and hospital procurement policies.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, contracts, quotations, and vendor documentation.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and ensure closure of audit observations.
  • Ensure procurement processes follow transparency and ethical business practices.
Equipment & Capital Purchases
  • Coordinate procurement of medical equipment and capital assets.
  • Obtain technical specifications and comparative statements from concerned departments.
  • Support installation, commissioning, warranty tracking, and vendor service coordination.
Team Management
  • Supervise and guide purchase executives and procurement staff.
  • Allocate work and monitor departmental performance.
  • Conduct training and development initiatives for team members.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Operations, or Hospital Administration preferred.
  • Certification in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
  • 7- 10 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a multi-speciality hospital.
